Paneer Butter masala



Paneer Butter masala

INGREDIENTS:
Paneer.....250 gm
Onion paste.....1/2 cup
Tomato puree...1/2 cup
Cashew nut paste....1/4th cup
Curd...1/4th cup
Butter....2 tsp
Peas-1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste....1tbsp
Green chilly......3
Coriander powder...1 tsp
Cumin powder....1 tsp
Kasoori methi....1 tsp(dry methi leaves)
Garam masala...1 tsp
Turmeric..a pinch
Salt to taste
Chilly powder...1 tsp
Sugar...1 tbsp
Cream..1/4 th cup
Orange food color...(optional)

METHOD::
  • Cut the Paneer into medium sliced cubes.Fry the paneer in 2 tbsp of butter.Keep it aside.
  • In the same pan heat the remaining butter and fry the onion paste until the raw smell goes away.
  • Now add the ginger garlic paste and green chillies and fry for another 3 min.
  • Add coriander powder,cumin powder,turmeric,chilly powder and tomato puree.
  • Cook until the gravy leaves the oil.Occasionally stir the mixture and add some water for the gravy if the gravy is too thick.add cooked peas to it

  • Add the curd and keep stirring.
  • Now add kasoori methi ,cashewnut paste ,sugar and salt.
  • Cook for sometime and add the paneer cubes.
  • cover and cook for 5-10 min.
  • Now in the end add the cream and take off from the stove.
Serve hot with naan or chapathi.
