I prepare this frequently in the thursdays for my God Dhanishnamoorthy ..It is filled with protein and minerals..Doesnt take much of time too..it can be a poriyal tooo
Moong dhal - 1 cup
Shredded coconut - 2 tsp
Onion (medium size) - 1/2 chopped
Ginger - 1 inch finelly chopped
Red chillies - 3
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Urad dhal - 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tablespoons
Pressure cook the moong dhal with enough water until two whistles..
Drain the water and add the required amount of salt and keep it aside..
Chop the onions and ginger finely.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds,urad dhalland Red chiles
Once they start spluttering add the onions and ginger and saute till they turn translucent..
Add this to the cooked dhall and mix well..Also add the grated coconut..
Moong dhall sundal is ready in minutes..
